Dorothy Mohrfeld Parker

It is with heavy hearts that the surviving families of Dorothy Mohrfeld Parker announce her passing after a massive stroke on the 3rd of May, 2011. Born Nov 7th, 1924, Dorothy was 86 years old.

Born in Palmyra NJ, Dorothy attended Palmyra High and Hedgrow in 1942 as an aspiring actress and singer. Dorothy married the love of her life, John Parker of Philadelphia in the year 1942. They lived in Riverton, NJ for 21 years before moving to Gwynedd and Blue Bell, PA.

Those closest to “Dot” knew her as a loving wife and mother to her four daughters. She and John vacationed on Siesta Key, Fl and Long Beach Island, NJ. Dorothy was an active member in the DAR and the Gwynedd Garden Club. She enjoyed sailing at the Riverton Yacht Club, playing bridge, reading and traveling. Dot is survived by John and Nancy Emens, John and Jane Fox, Robert and Deborah Signore, William and Lisa Cummins, her 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Saturday, the 28th of May on Long Beach Island, NJ there will be a private memorial to join together in remembrance of Dorothy Parker. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Abington Memorial Hospice, Warminster Campus, 225 Newtown Rd, Warminster, PA 18974.

Hi Jane,
I love that photo of your Mom, as that is the way I remember her most. I always enjoyed spending time at your house with your family, and your ping pong table, after school.
